Foot Balm
Inspired by the beautiful Adirondack mountains and the sore feet that come from hiking them, this balm is made to combat calluses, soothe aching feet, and heal the inevitable bumps and scrapes that come from enjoying the outdoors. Shaped to fit comfortably between toes and in the hand, this solid balm will keep you comfortable on hikes in any weather! Field tested by Adirondack 46ers from all 4 seasons. Thru hiking the Trans Adirondack Route mapped out by Erik Schlimmer. The Northville to Lake Placid Trail. The Vermont Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail. Any long distance thru hike requires taking care of your feet.
Ingredients and Purpose
Beeswax: From local Southern Adirondack beekeepers, this ingredient is at the core of our products. Its moisture-locking properties combine with a non-sticky staying power and binds the other ingredients into a firm but silky balm.
Shea Butter: This creamy 100% vegan ingredient absorbs slowly into the skin, granting a long-lasting moisture.
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil: 100% organic and food-grade plus a quick absorption, coconut oil lends its world famous moisturizing benefits to all of our products.
Monolaurin: Found naturally in coconuts, this monoglyceride is known for its uses in treating skin conditions. From athlete’s foot to chapped palms to calluses the world over, this ingredient is a MUST for working hands and feet!
Dead Sea Salts: Ground finely to be a mild exfoliant, these salts gently polish away rough calluses and also act as an antibacterial.
Magnesium: Magnesium is an essential mineral in food, but did you know that external application can help with muscle soreness and with skin softening? The supplement-grade magnesium in our hand and foot balm is a gentle exfoliant and all-around team player.
Cocoa Powder: Antioxidant properties extend the shelf life of our hand and foot balm for up to 8 months. The scent is just an added bonus!
